Use the Texas syntax file with the December 2023 data to complete either option A or B.

Option A—Path Analysis*

1. Create a path analysis, presenting both standardized and unstandardized results.

2. Report the direct, indirect and total effects of partisanship (X1).

3. Comment briefly on the results.

Option B—Interaction Analysis**

1. Calculate the estimated interaction effect. Show the details of your calculation

2. Plot, either by hand or with Excel or similar program, the interaction effect produced by the regression analysis. Make interest the X axis.

3. Comment briefly on the results.
